If you know dunk!festival then you know that we travel far and wide in search of the hidden treasures the world of post-rock has to offer. This year we’re proud to bring postmodernist rock band and all-around art group Tation to our ever growing audience! Hailing from the Tibetan plateau, Tation immediately captivated us with their unique sound, and comprehensive multimedia character, which spans beyond music to include video, text, and even scent performances! Firmly rooted in post-rock and the cultural traditions of their homeland, Tation also explore the world far and wide in search of the perfect blissful climax. Their multidisciplinary artistic creations incorporate elements from Han, Tibetan, Mongolian, and other ethnic musical traditions, as well as experimental, electronic, and contemporary classical styles to reach full and boundless sonic catharsis.
