ABOUT WIEGEDOOD
Belgian black metal pride Wiegedood steers clear from clichés, zooming in on the internal struggle we all face to transcend all manner of horror. This takes them into a completely different realm both musically and lyrically. What that sounds like? Like a psychotic ride full of spooky synths, hot club jazz and unsettling samples.
ABOUT BL!NDMAN
BL!NDMAN [sax] is a saxophone quartet, founded by saxophonist and composer Eric Sleichim, the beating heart of the collective. Named after Marcel Duchamp's magazine The Blind Man, Sleichim guides the audience through challenging sonic worlds.
With open ears and rebellious expertise, Sleichim explores the boundaries of how a saxophone can sound. Non-conventional techniques such as popping and smacking sounds and valve sounds, combined with the tonal qualities of the instrument and the use of electronics, are part of the DNA of BL!NDMAN [sax]. In his search for new possibilities for the saxophone, Sleichim also focuses on classic music and often writes his own arrangements for saxophone quartet and electronics.
