Few groups manage to create such a unique, smouldering atmosphere as Australian duo Jonnine Standish and Nigel Yang aka HTRK ('Hate Rock'). During nearly two decades of work, wonders (co-founder Sean Stewart sadly took his own life in 2010) and world tours, their sound alternated between density and intensity, noise and purity - without losing poetic power. They make music that not only translates the heaviness, preciousness or beauty of the world, but also adds surreal humour and tension.

It is the perfect soundtrack for solitude and sensuality, the early hours and lost weekends, shaped by an intimate interplay of electronics, velvet voice and guitar noir. HTRK celebrates its 21st anniversary this year with 2 special projects: the reissue of their 2014 album "9-5 Psychic Club" and remixes of their work by well-known fans such as Actress, Loraine James and Deftones.

Nykolaes & Daniel Paul

Nykolaes and Daniel Paul were both born and raised in the fields before moving to Brussels. Besides collaborating artists, they are also roommates. They perform soft, half spoken and half sung songs that combine guitar and electronic elements, sometimes in autotune, sometimes out of tune. They make house music in English and Dutch with emotional lyrics. When you call your label Magic Mountain, you expect nothing but emotional and pure music with unexpected and weird effects. Someone on a guitar crying. Lambs on a screen. Grass under your feet. Sun in your eyes. Something like that.
