Fievel is Glauque scores high on the scale of curious band names, so we'll clear that up for you right away: 'Fievel' refers to the cartoon character Fievel Mousekewitz from 'An American Tail' and 'Glauque' is a French adjective that means as much as dark or bad. The name thus reflects the American-French background of this musical duo band as well as the unusual creative combinations from which their style is constructed.

Operating from Brussels, Fievel is Glauque is the creative collaboration between American musician Zach Phillips, known for Blanche Blanche Blanche, and French singer Ma Clément, both with a rich background in jazz and experimental music.

They are known for their eclectic blend of jazz, electronica, pop and experimental music, characterized by lavish arrangements, playful lyrics and an innovative approach to melody and rhythm. The whole thing always sounds fresh and accessible, while boldly breaking the boundaries of genres.

Laryssa Kim

De muzikale reis van Laryssa Kim, Italiaans-Congolese zangeres en componiste, begon in Rome met reggae. Na omzwervingen in Amsterdam waar ze in aanraking kwam met hedendaagse dans, theater en looping machines, kwam ze in 2013 in Brussel wonen. Ze haalde een master in akoestische muziekcompositie aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium van Mons en verdiepte zich verder in elektroakoestische muziek.  

Op het podium combineert ze live-elektronica met vocale loops en neemt het publiek mee doorheen hypnotiserende en surrealistische soundscapes. Na haar debuut EP Lov’em all uit 2019 volgde haar eerste album Submarine Thoughts in 2022. Eerder dit jaar kwam de opvolger Contezza.
