Composer Roger Eno presents his brand new album. Purged piano and strings that grab you by the throat.

Left Waves invites composer and sound artist Roger Eno to the beautiful Minard Theatre.  In 2022, Eno released his acclaimed solo debut The Turning Year on Deutsche Grammophon, the renowned classical music record label. Songs like "Above And Below" have been streamed more than 21 million (!) times. Successor The Skies, they shift like chords, was released at the end of October 2023. Songs like "Arms Open Wide" show where Eno's strength lies: soft, pared-down piano that immediately grabs the listener by the throat.

Eno's haunting music creates atmospheric landscapes that impress. And this has not escaped the notice of numerous directors. His music has already been used for films like Trainspotting, 9½ Weeks and The Jacket. Together with his brother Brian Eno - you know who, the man of Roxy Music, David Bowie, U2, Talking Heads and ambient pioneer - he also made the soundtrack for David Lynch's Dune.

In addition to being a composer, Eno is also a gifted musician and multi-instrumentalist. He shared the stage with such luminaries as Lou Reed, Jarvis Cocker, Marianne Faithfull and Beck. In the studio, he worked with David Gilmour, Peter Hammill and Tim Robbins

In collaboration with Democrazy.

Support: Thijs Troch

Pianist Thijs Troch presents his new solo project 'Stilleven'. Silent electronic sounds interact (or coexist) with (un)prepared piano sounds and harmonium. An electro-acoustic sound world with a meditative character. The record is out from the amazing bwaa. records label.
