VIERNULVIER official partner of the Cultural Transformation Movement Project

Our VIERNULVIER colleagues Marieke De Munck & Tine Theunissen went to Leipzig last week for the Trans Europe Halles (TEH) Conference 95. They also attended a kick-off meeting for the Cultural Transformation Movement Project (CTMP), which VIERNULVIER participates in.

The Cultural Transformation Movement Project (CTMP) is a four-year project that aims to transform cultural organisations by implementing strategies and methodologies of cultural management and creation processes that are developed with the full engagement of under-represented communities. It is co-funded by the European Union programme Creative Europe.

It is the first project to invest in the topics of social and spatial justice aiming to reduce inequalities within organisations, and inspire the European cultural sector to follow suit. Various European artists contribute to the project; read their artistic statement.

The project is led by Trans Europe Halles (TEH) and developed together with four multidisciplinary art centres and production houses from our network: Brunnenpassage (Austria), VIERNULVIER (Belgium), Zō Centro Culture Contemporanee (Italy), IZOLYATSIA. Platform for Cultural Initiatives (Ukraine). This project researches and examines two dimensions, one within and the other around the partner centres/organisations, and questions the relationship between art-making, policy-making, the context and the resulting art forms.
