The Almaghoot Quintet, founded by clarinettist and composer Ghaeth Almaghoot, presents “Levantine Hues” – a compelling programme brimming with stories, memories and cultural cross-fertilisation. With a line-up comprising clarinet, duduk, ud, piano, contrabass and percussion, the ensemble weaves together microtonal sounds, Arabic melodies and jazz harmonies. A groundbreaking listening experience that connects centuries-old musical traditions with a contemporary musical approach.fc
This concert is part of OdeGand En Route, under the ‘Gold’, ‘Indigo’, ‘Honey’, ‘Fire’ and ‘Zee’ formats. The artists will perform the same set three times, whilst the audience rotates between different venues across the city. Visitors will be given a day pass on a lanyard showing their route. Between 13:00 and 14:00, you can exchange your ticket for a pass at the first venue.
