Khalid Benhaddou

Khalid Benhaddou is a Muslim theologian, opinion maker, and columnist for Knack. He is the author of several books, including 'Is this now Islam?', 'Can God still?', 'Halal or not', ''On bridges and borders', 'Lost in Enlightenment' (with Patrick Loobuyck), 'Clashing civilizations' (with Bart De Wever), and his most recent book 'Monsters of our time'. Additionally, he is active as the director of the network of Islam experts focusing on the approach to radicalization and polarization within Flemish education and is the director of CIRRA, a center of expertise on worldview and inclusion.

He is also active at UGent as a lecturer on Diversity and Inclusion, and within UGent, he leads the platform DurfDiversDenken, a platform that aims to empower students in a vulnerable educational position. Furthermore, he is also a member of the ethical committee of Wit-Gele Kruis Vlaanderen and of the ethical committee of the King Baudouin Foundation.
