Dimitri Van Den Meerssche

Dr. Dimitri Van Den Meerssche is an associate professor at Queen Mary University of London, specializing in international law. He studied law at UGent (summa cum laude) and New York University (as a BAEF Fellow). Dimitri earned his doctorate at the European University Institute and taught international law at the London School of Economics, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, and the University of Edinburgh. He is a fellow at the Institute for International Law and Justice at New York University. Dimitri specializes in the law of international organizations, human rights, and the right to self-determination. He extensively publishes on international law, migration, decolonization, and the impact of new digital technologies (including in war situations).
