During our VIDEODROOM Talks, programmer Wouter Vanhaelemeesch engages in a brief conversation with a guest who is an outspoken fan of the film. From movie-historical insights to personal declarations of love for the film or genre in question.

When musician, producer and video artist Youniss was invited to reinterpret an iconic Bond track during ‘Casino Battle Royale’, he admitted quite frankly that he had never seen a James Bond film.

This presented the perfect opportunity for him to watch the entire series and discuss this traumatic experience with two die-hard Bond fans: programmer Wouter Vanhaelemeesch and çavaria policy officer Olivia Wittock. We’ll be looking at the classics and the flops, the past and future of the film series, and how we reconcile our love for it with the many problematic aspects of Ian Fleming’s creation.
