Nele De Gussem & Victor Verhelst

Highly sought-after Belgian visual artist Victor Verhelst (STROOM) created a unique collage of motion graphics inspired by 90s computer games for 'The Loom: A Rave for the Introverted', which have an extraterrestrial allure and a very symbiotic relationship with the music. Rarely has the marriage between digital and musical art come together so invitingly. Sounds are transformed into colors; sound colors merge with textures and patterns dance to the rhythm of the music. Both De Gussem and Verhelst share a fascination for intertwining analog media with innovative software and hardware. Verhelst describes his visual language as “Trippy Vegas” - a psychedelic landscape that takes the viewer through a kaleidoscope of colors and patterns, through realms of recognizable and unrecognizable architecture, mythical creatures and structures, all entangled in a rhythm of chaos. 

The Ghent-based singer-songwriter and composer Nele De Gussem (Uma Chine) creates mystical pop, psychedelic atmospheres, and pulsating electronics. She is fully dedicated to creating soundscapes, using her sensual voice and electronic/analog instruments as a kind of palette of rich textures. De Gussem has played a crucial role in the Belgian alternative scene. In addition to her project Uma Chine and performances in bands like BRNS and Future Old People are Wizards, she has composed music for dance and film, delving into contemporary classical music, alternative rock, and sound experiments.
