At the end of May, the Eye On Palestine platform and its partners invite you to an evening of hope and solidarity. It is the closing night of the multidisciplinary Eye On Palestine arts festival in Ghent (23 April to 30 May 2026 – see the full programme).

The dire situation in Gaza, where civilians are still suffering from the conflict, requires our continued attention and action. With developments in Iran and Lebanon, the conversation extends further, to what is happening and what we can do. Eye On Palestine links these questions to art interventions, debates and lectures. Ha Concerts, VIERNULVIER and a lot of partners are joining forces for this modest closing event.

The proceeds will go to The Ghassan Abu Sittah Children's Fund, which provides indispensable help to children and families in the area. So come in large numbers, join the conversation and do your bit.

Line-up

Wajdi Riahi - opening act
Tunisian pianist Wajdi Riahi moves at the intersection of jazz and classical music. His background in Arabic music also gives his playing a unique flavour. With his trio, he explores the intersections between jazz, Gnawa and Stambeli music.

For this solo recital, he brings together the many influences that have shaped his personal style, characterised by sensitivity and emotional depth.

Kamilya Jubran
Palestinian artist Kamilya Jubran is inextricably linked to her context. For forty years, she has been combining music and resistance in a career that is difficult to pin down. Poetry, emotion and political engagement come together in an artistic universe where the boundaries between culture, politics and genres blur.

Above all, she is a storyteller. With her supple, often challenging voice and her virtuoso playing on the oud (Arabic lute), she embodies every text with great intensity.
