Expect bouncy, danceable steppers, shrouded in psychedelic textures, surrounded by mystery and driven by deep basses that resonate through the smoke-filled dance floors. Curious energy and sonic surprises await you.
Nina Ampe and Lien De Keyser are the strong women behind Butternut, the Ghent-based queer collective that bridges the gap between techno and the LGBTQ+ community. In addition to the well-known names at their events, they also give local talent a chance to shine. Since its inception in 2020, Butternut has been enriching Ghent's nightlife with intimate, energetic and sultry parties. Five times a year, the Buttercrew calls on their like-minded collective to get lost together during an auditory massage of challenging techno, stimulating trance and groovy dancefloor burners, topped with a layer of techno, electro, progressive, tribal, nostalgia and groove. Butternut seeks to experiment with relevant artists who bring a fresh and inspiring sound that stimulates your senses. The collective is for like-minded people who are looking for exciting underground sounds and who can let themselves go in an exuberant, warm and intense setting.
