VIERNULVIER presents: 4x4
Artists are given carte blanche and can turn De Vooruit into their playground for an evening. They can open their artistic universe here, showcase their broad, layered, or just fragile practice, and engage in explosive collaborations with artists who ignite their own fire. We alternately invite creators from the performing arts and music world, but we will definitely break away from the traditionally defined boxes! 

On 23 April 2026, we will re-enact an evening from 1992.

My parents took me to a community variety night in a parish hall near Ostend. 
I was barely twelve. That evening opened my eyes.

I remember only fragments.
An old, slender woman sang a German song.
There was a man wearing high stiletto boots.
In the kitchen, Tien Om Te Zien was playing on TV.
Fluorescent light and cigarette smoke.
My father sang a few songs…

That evening from 1992 will be re-enacted, scene by scene, in the Balzaal of De Vooruit,
during the second edition of 4x4, on 23 April 2026. And we will do so together with a bunch of artists who are more than happy to join the conspiracy.
