With their debut album My Hair is Everywhere, the Klinck Trio – Elisabeth Klinck (violin, vocals), Adia Vanheerentals (saxophone, vocals) and Maya Dhondt (piano, vocals) – unfolds an intimate language in which melody and silence maintain a fragile balance. The music is rooted in improvisation and exudes an openness in which every sound and every pause takes on meaning.
Recorded in the summer of 2024 at Studio Ledeberg, the album sounds like an invitation to listen attentively: from whispering details and breathing spaces to playful melodies and tender resonances. Inspired by Meredith Monk, among others, the music moves between lightness and melancholy, searching for a fragile beauty that only fully unfolds in silence.
About Klinck Trio
Klinck Trio unites three distinctive voices from the Belgian music scene: violinist-composer Elisabeth Klinck, saxophonist Adia Vanheerentals, and pianist-producer Maya Dhondt. Together, they craft slowly unfolding soundscapes where melody and silence intertwine, opening a delicate, childlike space of intimacy and discovery.
Elisabeth Klinck is a contemporary violinist, composer, and performer based in Brussels, known for her timeless, deep-listening sound worlds. Her albums Picture a Frame (2023) and Chronotopia — selected by The Quietus as one of the best albums of 2025 — were released on the Swiss label Hallow Ground. She has collaborated with Miet Warlop (One Song), Valgeir Sigurdsson, Ben Bertrand, Benjamin Abel Meirhaeghe, and many others. In 2025, Elisabeth was selected as one of radio station Klara’s De Twintigers, a group of promising young artists shaping the future of Belgian classical music.
Adia Vanheerentals is one of Belgium’s most promising young musicians. Equally selected for Klara De Twintigers (2024), she is also the driving force behind Bodem, her trio with Anke Verslype and Willem Malfliet, with whom she toured during JazzLab in 2025. Her solo LP Here Are 5 Reasons to Meditate appeared on Ultra Eczema in 2024, and her upcoming album Taking Place on Relative Pitch Records is set for release in November 2025.
Maya Dhondt is a Brussels-based pianist and abstract virtuoso whose practice spans
glitch-pop experiments and contemporary piano works. She has performed at festivals such as Rewire (The Hague) and Fifty Lab (Brussels), and her debut album wow, x was
released on VIERNULVIER Records in 2024.
In 2025, Klinck Trio performed reimaginings of J.S. Bach at MA Festival Brugge, showing
their ability to shift effortlessly between tradition and innovation.
