Sara De Graeve (°1989) is a freelance photographer and collage artist based in Ghent. The visual arts have always played an important role in her life. After receiving her first digital camera in 2008, her passion for photography has only grown. In 2012, this evolved from being a hobby into a career.
The love for collage revealed itself in 2019 after she came into possession of a stack of old garden magazines from her late grandmother. This sparked a true obsession with collecting old magazines, photo books, and picture books.
Armed with scissors and glue, she tackles them to transform the stories playing in her mind into visual collages. The possibilities are endless, providing a perfect outlet for all the madness in her mind. Moreover, she can channel her thoughts and feelings about everything happening in the world through this medium. Time becomes irrelevant during the creation of collages, and a fantastic world opens up, ready to be explored!
