Roeland Delrue

Lecturer

Roeland Delrue is co-founder of Aikido Security, Europe's fastest-growing cybersecurity company. He is responsible for Aikido's commercial activities, including sales and go-to-market strategy. Under his leadership, the company has grown to more than 2,000 paying customers worldwide and more than 20 million euros in annual recurring revenue (ARR). In addition, Aikido raised more than $80 million in venture capital and officially became Belgium's newest unicorn. All this within three years of its founding.

AI is a central theme in the vision on technology and cybersecurity. At Aikido, AI is not only actively used to make security smarter and more scalable, but also helps organisations to securely manage their internal AI systems and protect themselves against external, AI-driven threats. This dual challenge of leveraging and securing AI is central to Aikido's strategy today.

Before founding Aikido, Delrue played a key role in expanding Belgian SaaS pioneer Showpad into the American market. He then led the product team at Officient, an HR start-up, where he once again collaborated with his current co-founder. His combination of a commercial background and a strong product mindset forms the basis of Aikido's unique go-to-market and product philosophy.
