Mireia Calafell

Mireia Calafell is a poet. She has published Poètiques del cos (2006), which won the Amadeu Oller Prize in 2006 and the Anna Dodas Prize in 2007 for the best book by an unpublished author, and Costures (winner of the Josep Maria López Picó Prize in 2009). With Tantes mudes (Benvingut Oliver Prize, 2013), she received the Lletra d’Or award for the best book published in Catalan in 2014. Her collection Nosaltres, qui (2020) was awarded the Mallorca Poetry Prize (2019) and recognized by the Association of Catalan Language Writers as the best poetry book published in 2020. Most recently, she received the Carles Riba Prize for Si una emergència (2024).

She has also served as co-director of the Poesia i + Festival (2015–2016) and of Barcelona Poesia (2018–2021).
