Daytime Bar Manager
This is Jasmijn Groeneveld, always cheerful and ready to serve our café’s customers. Jasmijn has been in charge of the day shift at the café for four years, but she’s been working in our organization for much longer than that.
Jasmijn was born and raised in the Netherlands. She studied furniture making/restoration in Amsterdam and came to Ghent 10 years ago for an internship. She began her career at De Vooruit with a student contract, and has since become a trusted fixture for our customers.
The best part of this job is that it’s very varied. Still, it does come with its share of challenges. The size of the café, the hustle and bustle, working with colleagues, and questions from customers ensure that no two days are the same.
