As the world collapses, activism is reviving in the arts sector, sometimes sincere and forceful, sometimes as a well-meaning empty shell. With an intervention at De Vooruit, Dries Verhoeven explores the aesthetics of resistance. Can an artistic expression bring about change, or is protest a toothless ritual? Do we believe in the impact of our actions, or do we become disheartened when faced with all the political and social stagnation?
