Arabist and journalist Chams Eddine Zaougui (1978) studied in Ghent and Cairo. His analyses on political abuse of power and religious fundamentalism have appeared in The New York Times, NRC, De Correspondent, and De Standaard. In 2016, he wrote Dictators, in which he exposes the techniques used by Arab leaders to cling to power.
