Alba Cid

Alba Cid (Ourense, 1989) is a Galician poet and researcher. Her first poetry collection, Atlas (Galaxia, 2019), was awarded the National Young Poetry Prize “Miguel Hernández” by the Spanish Ministry of Culture.

Her poems have been translated into German, Catalan, Greek, and English, and featured in journals and platforms such as Asymptote, Poets.org, Kenyon Review, The Offing, among others.

She is co-author of the artistic chapbook A faia de Ponto. Le roi de la Galice and the Tesouro Espeleolóxico Galego (both published by aCentral Folque, 2022) and participates in interdisciplinary and intangible heritage projects such as Rupestre Sonoro.
A former contributor to Radio Galega, she also engages in photography and illustration. Her work is attentive to etymologies, natural history, and diverse cultural practices.
