In addition to our own programming, venue rental, and collaborations with various partners, we are happy to make space for initiatives from doers and thinkers who shape Ghent. VIERNULVIER offers space in consultation for projects that stimulate the imagination of the city and contribute to the well-being of participants and visitors.

Which spaces are available?

The VIERNULVIER Café during quiet moments
Before 12 PM and between 2 PM and 5 PM
In the evenings when there are few public activities
On Sundays (everything is set up and taken down on the same day)
The terrace during quiet moments
The Winter Garden (mezzanine accessible via the stairs at the back of the café)
The covered publicly accessible entrance area during quiet moments.

Good to know

The VIERNULVIER Café has a maximum capacity of 600 people, of which 250 seated. Removing tables and chairs takes several hours of work.

Who do we want to reach?
- Doers and thinkers with creative and social plans
- Individuals
- Organizations
- Collectives
- Informal groups

What are we looking for?
Publicly accessible activities (possibly with an entrance fee)
Both one-time events and recurring projects
(weekly, monthly, …)

What are we not looking for?
- Private events
- Projects that VIERNULVIER or partners already organize in De Vooruit or Club Wintercircus (such as concerts, performances, nightlife events, debates, parties, rehearsals, book presentations, …)
- Commercial events
- Operation of the café. If it is decided in consultation that the bar in the VIERNULVIER Café will open during your project, the bar operation will always remain in the hands of VIERNULVIER.

What does VIERNULVIER offer?
- Space
- Heating
- Water and electricity
- A kitchen (only after 6 PM or on Sundays)
- The fixed sound system in the café and on the terrace

Is everything free?
Many things are, but not everything. If a separate room manager or security is needed, this cost will be passed on to the user. This is always the case on Sundays, for example.

What do we not offer?
- Communication and audience engagement around your project
- Project coordination
- Technical support (sound, light, projection) except for the existing sound system
- Budget
