On Tuesday 21 April, the singalong community Zie Ze Zingen is organising a tribute concert featuring songs by Prince & David Bowie, two musical heroes who passed away 10 years ago.
You don’t have to be a die-hard fan to enjoy this evening. Singing leaders Geertrui Coppens & Jasper De Mulder will sweep the audience along in a wave of musical togetherness and polyphonic energy. No singing experience is required.
Which songs are just waiting to be sung by you?
‘Nothing Compares to You’, ‘Kiss’, ‘Purple Rain’, ‘When Doves Cry’, ‘Heroes’, ‘Starman’, ‘Modern Love’ and a selection of surprising Bowie & Prince gems.
A tribute to this duo seemed almost inevitable. Prince sang the song ‘Heroes’ at his very last concert, as a tribute to the recently deceased Bowie. Prince & Bowie became heroes for more than just one day. They symbolise the enduring power of music, daring, playfulness and, of course, goosebumps.
