From cinematic Brazilian soundscapes to peaceful indie folk.

Zé Ibarra is one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary Brazilian music. With his second solo album, AFIM, he confirms his position and explores a more intense and cinematic musical world, in which MPB (Brazilian Popular Music), jazz, pop, and progressive rock merge into interesting soundscapes.

The album is a crossroads of different facets of his artistry, from the understated singer-songwriter to rich arrangements with strings and horns. AFIM contains both his own compositions and reinterpretations of songs by contemporaries and friends, including Sophia Chablau, Tom Veloso, and Dora Morelenbaum. The single Transe was nominated for the Best Portuguese Language Song Grammy 2025 and certainly stands out for its timeless beauty, with string arrangements by Jaques Morelenbaum.

Zé Ibarra is a key figure in the new MPB wave from Rio de Janeiro, which has gained international recognition since the success of Bala Desejo, which won him a Latin Grammy in 2022. He has also collaborated with icons such as Milton Nascimento and Seu Jorge.

His European tour in 2026 offers a unique opportunity to experience this new musical phase up close, because where his earlier solo work departed from intimacy and acoustic simplicity, he now opts for a darker, visually charged approach.

Ghent-based solo project Tatête takes Nicolas Mouquet back to his roots and his first love: the acoustic guitar. After adventures in indie pop bands such as WUMAN, Soapstarter, and Twin Toes, he has created a minimalist indie folk style that is both comforting and disruptive. With his intimate French and English songs, he invites you to just be yourself. Live, his music is performed in an intimate setting, accompanied by Hanne Vandekerckhove and Pierre Van Vlaenderen.

The PALMARIUM concert series brings seven evenings of music to the beautiful Botanical Garden of the Ghent University Museum. This series is a collaboration between VIERNULVIER, Democrazy & GUM.

In French and English, his intimate songs invite you to just be yourself.
