11.11.11, ABVV-FGTB, ACV-CSC, INTAL, SOS GAZA & VREDE VZW are joining forces for UNITED FOR PALESTINE, an evening of music, spoken word and solidarity; an alternative for those who refuse to turn a blind eye to the reality in Palestine, Iran and Lebanon.
A brief explanation from the organisers:
On 12 May, we will not be giving a platform to Genocide. We choose humanity, peace and justice. Whilst Belgium is performing in the semi-finals of the Eurovision Song Contest, Israel will once again be given an international platform. That is unacceptable to us.
We asked Belgium not to take part.
We asked VRT and RTBF not to broadcast the event.They are doing so anyway.
That is why we are creating our own alternative platform on 12 May in Brussels.
UNITED FOR PALESTINE is sold out. For those who missed out on a ticket, there are also watch parties. Among other places, at the VIERNULVIER Café.
