In our latest performance 'Fraction of a Second', everything revolves around the choices we make and the inevitable consequences that follow. At every crossroads in life, you encounter that one choice, but it is also a story about unbreakable resilience. No matter what comes your way, there is always a path forward, filled with new possibilities that are worth pursuing.

This poignant performance highlights the four factors that can be involved in a traffic accident. Michael Ghysels, a victim of an accident, must learn to live with the consequences. For him, the wheelchair is nothing more than a shoe sole; he shows what resilience can truly achieve.
Stef Vanlee, a dedicated caregiver, is constantly confronted with the tragedy of traffic. In addition to his crucial work at the trauma center of UZA, the moving stories deeply affect him.

The emotional impact is heightened by breathtaking video clips that project the experiences of survivors and perpetrators of accidents. These images leave no one untouched and emphasize the core of our message: “It won’t happen to me,” as the main cause of traffic accidents. An attitude that triggers all known causes (speed, intoxication, distraction, etc.).

With a powerful combination of music, acting, storytelling, and video, this engaging yet poignant performance remains digestible. It encourages self-reflection, because ‘you don’t navigate alone’!
