During our VIDEODROOM Talks, programmer Wouter Vanhaelemeesch engages in a brief conversation with a guest who is an outspoken fan of the film. From movie-historical insights to personal declarations of love for the film or genre in question.

Ann-Sophie is a key figure in Ghent's music and nightlife scene. In 2016, she co-founded the DIY feminist punk collective Girls Go Boom. She also applies her knowledge of safe spaces in her work for Democrazy (where she is head of communications), Boomtown and Club Wintercircus. In addition, she is a gifted filmmaker who is currently preparing her first series with the inclusive production company she founded, “Tablereads”.

We delve into the oeuvre of Wim Wenders, the place music occupies in his films and analyse his critical “outsider” view of America.
