A magnificent ship docks at Dok Noord.
Through the eye of the porthole, we hear the vocal tones of a song; we vaguely see a decorated stage, flashes of colored inflatable balls, cheers, and laughter. What kind of commotion is brewing?
Three theater collectives from Ghent - En Garde, GOAT, and H&Vs kortvoorstellingen BV - create a program and present it on the ship “l’Epreuve d’Artist,” which is temporarily renamed “the SHOWBOAT.”
Expect theater, revue, cabaret, and spectacle for young and old.

GOAT
(Cabaret / Performance / Review)
At SHOWBOAT, GOAT presents a live cabaret. GOAT loves a lot: a lot of play, a lot of props, a lot of artists, and a lot of themes. During The Great Cabaret, we put together a new program six times; each day is dedicated to one of our main artists. We combine various disciplines such as theater, music, dance, performance, clowning, and drag.
While large cruise ships destroy the earth, SHOWBOAT puts artisanal art back in the spotlight. Let yourself be carried away by an art form that was brought to life more than 100 years ago.
H&V Short Performances

The short performances are back in town. With even more colorful friends, the OGs Happel & Vandervegt present new stuff and old classics.
A series of absurdist acts and mini-stories form a colorful ode to the confusing life. It’s soft punk full of flowers, feathers, curtains, and wise lessons. And everything is 100% Real!
The performance takes place on the SHOWBOAT. It's gonna be the Real Deal. So be there! Brothers, bitches, in-betweens: it will be wild!
