Mr. Scruff

Mr. Scruff is back again in Ghent for the 12th time on the Democrazy agenda! After playing 10 Days Off in 2008, he’s been a regular visitor to this city he’s come to love. Seems like the love is reciprocated, because few crowds go as hard on his signature eclectic sets.

If you didn’t know,... Manchester-based Mr. Scruff is a producer, cartoonist and cross-genre selector who loves to play long DJ sets that weave together many forms of music in a playful way; soul, funk, gospel, disco, jazz, blues, folk, R&B, ska, two-tone, reggae, latin, jazz, afrobeat, tropical, house, techno, garage, electro, new wave, hip-hop, breakbeat, bhangra, ambient and whatever else makes sense in the moment. Curiosity and connection drive his passion, along with a love of sharing all this music on joyous dancefloors.
