We know that we are all involved in the destruction of the living world, largely fuelled by serious tensions between the deep design of nature and the deep design of finance. Nature is cyclical, relational and regenerative. Finance as we know it is linear, extractive and accumulative. If our goal is to get into the Doughnut – to meet the needs of all people within the limits of the living planet – what does this clash of two different designs mean? Will our financial economy devour the Earth, or can it be redesigned at its core to serve life itself?
Join master of ceremonies Kate Raworth in exploring what is at stake and finding ways to meet this challenge. Come to Doughnut Economics Circus, ready to listen, debate, juggle and laugh.
