On Saturday 18 October, Vooruit will once again slip into the nocturnal body of GHOST for the official closing party of Videodroom and Film Fest Gent. This time with Trainspotting in the bloodstream.

‘Take the best orgasm you've ever had, multiply it by a thousand and you're still nowhere near it.’ - that's how Begbie would have described our party. What to expect? Underworld, Iggy, rave, breaks, techno, acid... In other words: whatever makes your blood race faster than what’s healthy, with bass like syringes up your veins.

With sharp performances by Ferdy, Charlotte Caluwaerts, STIMULAR (Brennt, KLAKMATRAK X WØRTAAL, Lotta Mächs & Youri-Noir), a DJ set by Thang b2b Tjon and a laser show by Thelooca.

Simply synthesis of the synth

Thang & Tjon
Established fixtures in Ghent's nightlife scene and renowned far beyond. A guaranteed celebration, although you may not necessarily know what kind: somewhere between established favourites and B-sides to savour.

Charlotte Caluwaerts (Charlotte & Reinhard, Rheinzand)
Ghent-based musician, singer and specialist in multilingual songwriting. Caluwaerts writes in seven languages and is professionally active both at home and abroad. She has already released 15 albums featuring her own original work, ranging from pop to indie dance, jazz, neoclassical and French chansons.

Thelooca
Thomas Delbeke, also known as Thelooca, projects moving images onto just about everything except projection screens. From mapping and masking to complete installations, he does everything he can to avoid the traditional 16:9 format.

+ STIMULAR invites...

Youri-Noir, the alter ego of architect, sculptor and musician Philip Franchitti. For over three decades, he has been exploring the boundaries of artistic expression by combining electronic music with dystopian imagery. In collaboration with art collective Stimular, he presents raw, compelling audiovisual performances in which reality and surrealism merge. The driving force behind Youri Noir's artistic work is ENDCORE.

KLAKMATRAK X WØRTAAL
WØRTAAL is a Belgian female DJ duo who find their passion in combining hardcore with live musical elements such as violin and vocals. Their sets are more than just regular DJ performances: they bring a lively, organic and energetic twist to the dance floor that keeps everything fresh and exciting. With their compelling live violin, they blur the boundaries between rave and ritual, where power and vulnerability come together and chaos feels like home. WØRTAAL are residents of the infamous Stimular family & DECADANCE and organise their own event series, “In De War”.

Lotta Mächs
Mum at Stimular, who uses her love of glitch art and VHS to create wonderfully trippy visuals.

Brennt
The hardest working person underground, from STAKE to KLAKMATRAK, but also sound design and Stimular and so much more. It's about shouting and dancing and posing for press photos with your mouth open. Lovely.
