Dijf Sanders & Segers brengen een grensverleggende trip tussen field recordings, ritme en trance.

Restless creator, gear enthusiast, and producer Dijf Sanders captures sounds from all over the world—he grinds them, distorts them, and fuses them with modern electronics. Together with his regular partner and drummer Simon Segers (Sylvie Kreusch, Black Flower, De Beren Gieren), they push the technical boundaries to the extreme.

Tangkoa II's ingenious technical setup makes way for a raw, fleeting, and emotional electronic live show in which nothing is programmed. Man-machine Segers meets human effects processor Sanders in a unique live context that starts with Vietnamese field recordings, Segers' intuitive drumming, and Sanders' sound machines.

The first single, ‘Mooning’, released on January 30, 2026, offers a glimpse of what is to come. Live, Tangkoa II will be a ritual trip, an intense experience that combines dance, trance, and spiritual energy, making each performance unique. Prepare yourself for an evening in which improvisation, electronic manipulation, and rhythmic magic merge into a live experience.

Multi-instrumentalist and composer David ‘Dijf’ Sanders is known for his boundless, multicultural approach, which has earned him an impressive track record in recent years: collaborations with Warhaus, Sylvie Kreusch, Mattias De Craene's MDC III, and Wim Vandekeybus, in addition to strong solo work centered on adventure and imagination.

After Java (2017), recorded in Indonesia, Sanders turned his attention back to Asia. His trip to Nepal yielded field recordings and impressions that formed the basis for Puja (2020), a hypnotic album in which monk chants, mantra-like techno, and eclectic rhythms come together. Together with drummer Simon Segers, saxophonist Mattias De Craene, and sitar player Nicolas Mortelmans, this became a rich, ritualistic universe that comes to life as a trance-like trip when performed live.

The new album Tangkoa II (May 8, 2026, Unday Records) continues this journey of discovery. Inspired by Vietnam and other Asian influences, Sanders builds an organic electronic universe with Simon Segers, plus guest musicians such as Vitja Pauwels (guitar), Viktor Perdieu (sax) and Louise van den Heuvel (bass). Nothing is predetermined: samples, synths, and live effects form a living composition, in which improvisation, jazz, and trance rhythms merge into a hypnotic experience.

LUPO SPACCARO
If man is a wolf to man, Lupo Spaccaro seeks to ease tensions by placing humanity at the core of his creative process. Straddling the edges of electronic galaxies and hip-hop, blending futuristic funk with transcendent jazz, the project envisioned by multi-instrumentalist Pierre Spataro explores the theme of duality through an open-ended instrumental framework.

Known for his collaborations with Reinel Bakole and Kuna Maze, as well as his work as an arranger for Belgian national radio and television, Spataro has been a key player in Brussels’ new electronic scene alongside Commander Spoon, ECHT!, Tukan, and Lander & Adriaan. Now, he embarks on a solo journey.

Lupo Spaccaro was crafted in motion between London, Amsterdam, and Brussels. At the crossroads of these European metropolises, Spataro embarked on an introspective and slightly mystical odyssey shaped by his Sicilian immigrant roots, the decline of industrialization, and a deep connection to the landscapes between the North Sea and the Mediterranean.

A fictional persona, an emotional alter ego, Lupo Spaccaro exists between dream and reality. Inspired by past lives, the behavior of wolves—social creatures often perceived as solitary—and his Italian heritage, Spaccaro’s identity is rooted in duality. In Italian, "spaccare" means both “to break” and to express pure excitement and exhilaration.

Born from solitude yet nurtured by a pack of independent musicians, Lupo Spaccaro’s debut EP was crafted with the support of Shungu (production), Jeremy Debuysschere (bass, Jean-Paul Groove), and Lorenzo Ola Kobina (keys, Commander Spoon, ). A fluid, shape-shifting work guided by Spataro’s signature groove and levitating saxophone, the EP embraces the intergalactic jazz explorations of Sun Ra while echoing the futuristic sounds of Big Dada, Warp, and Brainfeeder.

Mixed at Pink Bird Studios in East London—where Sevdaliza, Yussef Dayes, Alfa Mist and Nala Sinephro have also recorded—this debut release finds its visual identity in an artwork first sketched on rolling papers.
Best enjoyed with a clear head.
