Responsibilities
As an all-round Stage Technician at VIERNULVIER, you are the essential link behind the scenes of a highly diverse operation. Your varied responsibilities will include:
- Together with the team, you work on the technical realization of a wide range of productions: from theater, performance, dance, and concerts to VR installations, congresses, and corporate events.
- Together with your colleagues, you take care of the setup and strike of sets, sound and lighting installations, and the audiovisual execution of all activities.
- You supervise rehearsals and performances, ensuring high-quality and hospitable support for visiting companies, artists, and external partners.
- Where needed, you operate the sound and/or lighting desk yourself as a dedicated VIERNULVIER in-house operator.
- You assist with the preventive maintenance and repair of technical equipment and stage installations.
- You communicate clearly and work closely with both internal colleagues and external stage technical teams.
- You are interested in the latest developments and technological trends within stage technology and enjoy keeping up with them.
This is who you are:
- Experience or the right foundation: you have completed a degree in stage technology or have learned the tricks of the trade through practical experience.
- Broad technical knowledge or interest: you are fascinated by lighting, sound, video, and rigging, and you enjoy learning about new techniques.
- Passion for technology: you have a great passion for everything that happens on, behind, and around the stage.
- Flexible mindset: working evenings, weekends, or during holidays fits into your lifestyle and rhythm.
- Team player with a hands-on approach: you enjoy contributing to a great team, but you are also perfectly capable of making independent decisions and coming up with solutions.
- Language skills: you communicate fluently in Dutch and have a basic knowledge of English. Do you also speak some French? That is a great plus. Eye for safety: well-being comes first; you ensure a safe working environment for yourself, the team, and the audience.
- Connection with VIERNULVIER: our program (theater, dance, music, literature) and our mission appeal to you.
What we offer you:
- A contract that suits you: you will start in September with a part-time, permanent contract. Would you prefer to work full-time? That is certainly negotiable.
- A varied job in a dynamic cultural sector, surrounded by great and open-minded colleagues.
- We work in a casual, open atmosphere where your initiative and sense of responsibility are genuinely valued.
- Your salary follows the scales of PC 304 (Performing Arts). Naturally, your relevant experience will be taken into account.
- You will receive extra-legal benefits such as meal vouchers, a commuting allowance, hospitalization insurance, and other perks.
- Room to grow: we provide internal guidance and training, and there is opportunity for external courses that align with your job.
- We work with a flat organizational structure where you can take on multiple roles if you wish. Engagement, transparency, and personal initiative are central to how we work.
