Yasmina Akhandaf

Yasmina Akhandaf is co-founder of the anti-racist and feminist platform Baas Over Eigen Hoofd. She has been active in the "headscarf debate" in Flanders for 15 years already. Professionally, she is a full-time teacher in secondary education. She has a background in (bio)chemistry, environmental sciences and political sciences. Since last year she is also an Islamic theologian by training. In addition to her activism at BOEH and her full-time profession, she founded Green Deen in 2015. This is the first Islamically inspired environmental organization in Belgium.
