Meet Cindy Vander Merken, the indispensable member of our team and a familiar face to everyone who visits us. Her journey with us began 23 years ago, when she started as an enthusiastic student worker behind the bar at the café. Since then, she has grown into the role of Coordinator of Housekeeping, Floor Managers, and Volunteers.
With her organizational skills, Cindy ensures that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. She is a true master of the puzzle, creating complex schedules every day to keep our operations running smoothly. But above all, Cindy is a people person: she leads her teams with heart and soul and makes sure that both staff and visitors feel welcome right away.
