Let us tell the story of the anus. In Lost Springs, five players swallow the carpet of civilization, using the threads dangling from between their legs to weave the tent for a new circus.

An eclectic theatrical piece that tackles the world's everyday pessimism through the lens of the arse. The arse as an anchor for fiction. The arse as an oracle. A dark room. A thunder drum. A human arse on a flatbed trolley. The audience is invited to shine their light on that which we normally conceal. A quest for hope, pleasure, and the meaning of life—moving beyond shame.

We find the semiotics of the anus across all facets of history. From medieval farce and Mozart to Freud and Cardi B. The arse as a cesspool, the arse as the butt of the joke, the arse as an instinct, as lowbrow humor. The dirty gate of our universe. The place where all the filth comes out. Playfully, the arse transgresses all borders, unlike the mind, for which boundaries and possessions mean so much.

In times of division and prudery, we say: communize your anus. Because we all have one. The arse is what connects us. Open up your anus, let the light shine in. The weapon is modest, but the possibility of action is close by—and infinite. Not to provoke. Or is it? (Referencing 'Anal Terror' by Paul B. Preciado)
