Sinds ze begin jaren 80 mede-oprichter was van het baanbrekende Sonic Youth, beweegt Kim Gordon zich op het raakvlak van muziek, kunst, literatuur en film. Ze debuteerde op nummer 1 in de NYTimes Bestseller List met haar memoires ‘Girl In A Band’ uit 2015, acteerde onder de regie van Gus Van Sant in ‘Don't Worry, He Won't Get Far On Foot’ uit 2018, bracht als Body/Head muziek uit met Bill Nace, en opende meerdere solotentoonstellingen in internationaal gerenommeerde musea.
Kim Gordons debuutalbum No Home Record werd in 2019 uitgebracht en ontving veel lovende kritieken (en werd Pitchfork’s 'Best New Music'.
Sinds 8 maart is er ‘The Collective', haar tweede soloplaat (uit via Matador Records) Ook voor The Collective stromen de positieve reviews binnen.
