The six-strong NAFT brings explosive techhouse with brass instruments. Tested and approved on hundreds of stages, they mine new ground in electro-acoustic performances. Their effervescent energy, uncompromising rhythms and pure rave spirit create an impressive live experience that can rival any DJ set - a roaring ride that resonates long after.
Add support act Pomrad to that and you are completely assured of fuel for a delicious evening of homegrown dance music. Pomrad's latest album ‘Silver Blue’ was released in March, and is a deliciously glittering fever dream full of kitsch on which the producer reveals himself to be the sweet-voiced love child of Prince and Whitney Houston.
About NAFT
NAFT was formed on the streets during the Ghent street festival in 2018, but grew from 'guerilla' street band to a regular fixture on national and international (festival) stages. They became a live (tech)house band with four horns and two drummers.
NAFT plays electronic music, but completely live with acoustic instruments. They manipulate their wind instruments with digital and analogue electronic effects via effects pedals. This once revolutionized electric guitar, but now it could revolutionize wind instruments!
About Pomrad
The alter ego of singer, producer, and keyboard virtuoso Adriaan Van de Velde, merges 80s fusion funk, raw electro-dance, and 90s rave grooves with catchy melodies and bass-driven pop music that is both dreamy and gritty. He’s also known as one half of Belgium’s prolific live duo, Lander & Adriaan.
His energetic live performances are both musically impressive and highly entertaining. He uses his craftsmanship as a trained jazz musician to play a laboratory of synths and samplers, combining it with weird dance moves, a sweet tenor voice and a good dose of irony & humor.
On his new album, Silver Blue, Pomrad reinvents himself with his very own brand of cosmic crooners. The songs on the album are mostly expressions of desires and grief, each song telling a different story, using a different metaphor for the deeply melancholic longing for love, bliss, and euphoria, that all seem unreachable, unless you flee or escape into the magical fairytale world that music can be.
