Protest signs for children's issues

We Sell Reality will work with children to create protest signs about the issues that matter to them. These can be protest signs where the children express their opposition to the conflict in their home country that they have fled, or perhaps against problems they encounter in their current environment. From ‘Stop the genocide’ to “Don’t litter on the street.”

Based on the protest signs, We Sell Reality will design a number of postcards that will then be sold door-to-door by children affiliated with the youth movement. The proceeds from the sales will go to a charity chosen by the children themselves.

We invite all children and their parents to the festival HUB on Wednesday 14 May from 14.00 to make new protest signs and celebrate their engagement. The protest signs will form an installation on the square and the final postcards will be for sale. The proceeds from this will also go to the chosen charity.

The project ‘The Future in Action’ is part of a series of artistic and activist workshops and gatherings aimed at making the children's voices a part of the public conversation about where we are collectively heading in this world. Children learn to critically reflect on the political mess that adults create and to propose ideas for a better future and visualize them.
