DRIFTWD

DRIFTWD, formerly known as Driftwood, is the Belgian-American collaboration between architect-musician Sam De Bock and musician-composer Patricia Vanneste. The duo unites Vanneste's melodic expression with De Bock's more structural, collage-like style in a unique harmony reminiscent of musicians such as Massive Attack, Tricky, Lamb and Mark Lanegan.

The duo unveiled their debut album, Only Fighters Left Behind, which garnered widespread critical acclaim. Presently, DRIFTWD is in the final stages of crafting their second full-length album, slated for release in Sept/Oct 2024. With first single ‘Bonfire’, the band immediately makes it clear that it has no intention of holding back. Written just after the outbreak of war in Ukraine, the song comes in like a sledgehammer blow.
