Femke Gyselinck, GRIP & Platform-K

In ‘Change of Plans’, the idea of changeability – and the emotion associated with it – is applied to the language of movement. What do you do when your right arm takes over from your left leg? How do you change a ‘dance plan’ and how do you change someone else’s? And what do you do when someone wants to change your plan?

The title of the show ‘Change of Plans’ refers to a passage from the Billie Eilish song ‘My Future’, in which Eilish reflects on the past and looks hopefully to the future. She describes how she sees herself transformed in her imagination.

Invited by the inclusive dance company Platform-K, which creates professional productions with dancers with and without disabilities, Femke Gyselinck collaborates with dancers Zanne Boon and Oskar Stalpaert for this performance.         

Musicians Hendrik Lasure (piano, keyboard) and Adia Vanheerentals (sax) have composed entirely new music for the show and they’ll be present to perform their soundtrack live.
