Exclusive Belgian gig + new album

Ryley Walker

Folk-rock talent Ryley Walker has for years channelled the like-minded musical spirits of Bert Jansch, John Martyn and more recently Steve Gunn. With albums like ‘Primrose Green’ and ‘Golden Sings That Have Been Sung’ the American singer-guitarist proved a master of progressive Americana, speckled with avant-garde jazz and psychedelica influences.

In 2018 he surprised everyone with the album 'Deafman Glance', shaking off his ‘jammy acoustic guy’ image, along with a heavy drink-and-drugs habit, and throwing himself head-first into prog rock, synth drones and more. Pitchfork described the album as “a coherent mood piece”.

In early 2020 Ryley Walker is coming to Belgium for an exclusive gig at Vooruit, where he'll be relying on his favourite new cruch: nothing. In other words, Walker will perform solo acoustic. And he’ll be bringing his new album (with a November release). Don't miss it.

Cian Nugent

In his music, the guitarist and composer from Dublin Cian Nugent brings together his passions: suburban blues, traditionals, jazz and music from legends like The Velvet Underground, Richard Thompson, Television, Neil Young and John Lennon. Nugent has a totally unique, rich sound that can be both playful and eerie at once. The Irishman has played at Vooruit before as support for Lee Ranaldo and is currently working on a new solo album as we speak.
